A major national retailer needed to track their competitors’ activity across several product types and all media channels to understand changes in the media landscape.
With access to 3rd party market benchmark data, we created an interactive dashboard which gives the client ongoing access to competitor spend by month for the last three years, and social activity up to the minute. Users are able to see both high-level comparisons and drill into any product line, set of brands or media channels as required. The data is presented in many different formats e.g raw spend, share, growth over time at a number of hierarchies, and track verbatim what their customers are saying online.
Using this data our client was able to see where they were positioned relative to competitors, and has now adjusted spend to ensure they hold top share of voice in their most important markets.
